On July 12, 2018, members of the International Society for Applied Chess met in Bulgaria with Rumen Bezergyanov - a licensed psychotherapist at the State University of Arizona, USA.
Rumen Bezergyanov is the author of the book "Education of character through chess", which contains the idea of searching for meaning in the game of chess. In it, the individual chess pieces are presented as symbols of certain important aspects of life.
The participants in the meeting shared the place of chess in their lives and the contribution of its application. Highlights from Rumen Bezergyanov, s book were discussed. The author told how he came up with the idea of logotherapy through chess. Possibilities for expanding the activities of the ISAC in America were discussed.
